We are proud to announce another successful award of a £3.5m station cleaning contract with Govia Thameslink Railway. Over the last 12 months we have been dedicated to delivering service delivery excellence on this contract having built a strong collaborative relationship with the client.
The mobilisation for this contract commenced on the 1st July and was completed in just four weeks. It involved a TUPE transfer of 150 operatives including the management team. Churchill has been quick to establish strong collaborative relationships across the teams to ensure success and that we hit the ground running and delivering the contract within the four week deadline.
In addition we have invested circa £200k in new innovative equipment including the Craftex Purex cleaning system, Foamtex and bespoke fitted out deep cleaning vans. These vans are able to hold 100 litre water containers and provide the flexibility required by the clients to respond to immediate cleaning demands unique to the rail environment. This coupled with new uniform and robust training has increased engagement across our teams improving motivation and accountability.
Dave Thomas, Accounts Director, said:
‘A great team effort to mobilise such a large contract in such a short timeframe. The client has been delighted with the strong collaborative relationships that have formed across the management teams and speed at which we have moved through mobilisation to delivery of the contract.’
Stuart Cooper, National Operations Director (Rail), said:
‘We have had a very challenging but successful year with GTR overcoming challenges and complexities, however we are delighted that our success to date has been recognised through the recent award of an additional station cleaning contract worth £3.5m.‘
