Churchill is delighted to announce that we are now a Recognised Service Provider working to the parameters as set by the Living Wage Foundation. The Living Wage, launched by Citizens UK in 2001, has a simple and powerful principle: that work should bring dignity and should enable families to enjoy the essentials of life.
Joel Briggs, Group Managing Director is proud to align Churchill with the Living Wage Foundation: “We share the ethos that the Living Wage is a partnership between civil society and business. In the last ten years, the Living Wage campaign has lifted over 45,000 people out of poverty – a remarkable and commendable statistic. From our perspective, paying the Living Wage wherever possible, is good for business, good for the individual and good for society. The net effect is increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, better recruitment / retention, improved quality of work, and increased ethical awareness.”
In another recent statement, Churchill announced that BM TRADA Certification Ltd has given its full approval to the OHSAS 18001 Management System operated within our organisation. Angelina Sooren, Group HSEQ Manager is keen to highlight the contributions of both our HSEQ Team and site-based operational teams: “I’m extremely proud of the hard work undertaken by the HSEQ Team to achieve this result! All employees being audited on the front line for us, have also been fantastic and enthusiastic during site visits.
As an indication of a growing business model, Churchill were overjoyed to be featured as one of only ten selected companies in the ‘Ones to Watch’ section in the latest Sunday Times Fast Track (sponsored by Virgin Group). More pleasing was the fact that we were the only company selected as ‘Ones to Watch’ within the FM industry.
