Electrical Safety
We deliver all services relating to fixed electrical testing and portable appliance testing.
Fixed Electrical Testing – we conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) to determine the current condition of electrical systems in terms of design and safety.
From a compliance perspective, we are inspecting and testing the condition of electrical wiring, circuits, accessories and connections within entire electrical systems. This meets both the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and Electrical Wiring Regulations which state that EICR’s must be conducted between every one to five years dependent on industry.
Portable Appliance Testing – we routinely conduct in-service inspections and testing of electrical equipment to check for safety.
The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 impose a requirement of maintenance of safety and evidence of routine maintenance for all hand-held, portable and plug-in equipment.
We work with clients to ensure adherence to any pre-agreed electrical test frequency (both Fixed Electrical Testing and Portable Appliance Testing) as stipulated by their insurance provider. Failure to comply with regulatory standard testing and/or frequency will have a significant impact in the event of any future claim.
Gas Safety
Churchill work with a variety of Gas Safe® registered suppliers who are fully qualified to work safely, compliantly and legally on gas appliances.
We consult with clients to highlight the dangers associated with gas appliances such as potential carbon monoxide leaks and inhalation as well as potential for unexpected burns and scalds.
We help ensure that all gas appliances are safely checked on at least an annual basis to measure: settings, burning levels and operating pressures; safe removal of harmful gases; clear and fully operational ventilation routes; and fully operational associated safety devices.
Air Conditioning Inspection / Maintenance
We deliver every aspect of air conditioning inspection and maintenance to meet all mandatory compliance as outlined within various regulations such as the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), including:
  • F-Gas (refrigerants / heat pumps) – containing detrimental HFCs it is a legal requirement to minimise these emissions. We provide F-Gas certified assessment and maintenance services to ensure compliance.
  • TM44 (air conditioning systems) – applicable to all building owners / managers where air conditioning systems’ output exceeds 12kW and requires regular inspection which is not less than five years apart.
  • R22 (HVAC maintenance) – since 01 January 2015, it has been illegal to use refrigerant R22 or service or maintain systems that use it. We offer services to either, replace with alternative refrigerant, or install new high-efficiency, ozone friendly system(s).
Our inspections (which meet SFG20 standard) are designed to assess efficiency and provide advice on improvements, replacements or alternative solutions to help reduce carbon emissions.
At every stage, from inspection, to implementation, to management, monitoring and review, our specialist consultants and technicians deliver bespoke, whole-life, and value added compliant solutions.

In addition to any remedial action such as removal, refurbishment or demolition, we are also skilled in the implementation of immediate interim control measures to increase safety and minimise risk to health.
First Aid

HSE will prosecute in cases where there is a significant risk, a disregard for established standards or persistent poor compliance with legislation.
