On Wednesday 9th July, Churchill was given the important responsibility of preparing a train for Her Majesty The Queen as she visited Matlock for the first time in 22 years. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh travelled from Derby to Matlock on a service specially cleaned by the team at Etches Park as part of our contract with East Midlands Trains. Working discreetly and at short notice for security reasons, the team carried out a ‘Periodic Heavy Clean,’ ensuring the train was beautifully presented internally and externally for the Royal couple.
