Churchill is pleased to announce that we have received another 5 star rating under the RISQS audit scheme. Without any majors, minors or observations, we could not have scored any higher.
The RISQS (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme) Audit service exists to pre-qualify suppliers who work within the rail industry through demonstration of compliance against industry-wide requirements and specific infrastructure requirements.
We passed the initial assessment in January 2015 by successfully proving we have the correct processes, procedures and documentation in place to ensure we can work to Network Rail Standards.
RISQS supports Network Rail, TfL and other passenger and freight operating companies, rolling stock organisations, main infrastructure contractors and other buying organisations in the management of supply chain risk.
The benefits of being accredited include:
- Improved understanding of management systems requirements for the rail industry
- Improved efficiency through reduced need for repetitive supplier verification audits
- Proven capability to meet regulatory and rail industry requirements
- Improved standards through continued performance measurement
Angelina Sooren, Group HSEQ Director, says: “Achieving another full score in the RISQS audit demonstrates our absolute commitment to the highest standards in rail health and safety and we are delighted that our robust processes have once again been recognised. Thank you to everyone directly involved in the process and our operations teams who are on the ground delivering services.”
Our rail portfolio includes Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR), East Midlands Trains, DB Regio Tyne & Wear, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport and Arriva.
