The final round of Chef of the Year saw our eight finalists compete in four rounds to declare this year’s winner.
From Chefs based in their local Primary School to Chefs based in the kitchens of our Assisted Living sites, the standard of this year’s competition was unbelievable. We were honoured to have our Special Guest, Mark Sargeant, on hand to cook up an impromptu starter from our Mystery Bag, as well as to assist on the judging panel.

Rebecca Bridgement, Managing Director, Catering by Churchill, said:
“I know personally how difficult it is to judge such an event, with every year it gets more and more difficult to select a winner from so many talented Chefs, however in so many ways the contestants are all winners for getting through to the final stage and I’d like to thank them all personally for their contribution”.
James Minton, Group Development Chef, added:
“the dishes really show the talent and how we nurture our chefs to express themselves.”
