Churchill Continues Cleaning Contract with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

September 15, 2016

We have retained the cleaning contract for South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT). We have also added to our portfolio with additional sites included in the tender.

SWASFT provides emergency care services across the south west of England, from Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly across to Dorset and up to Gloucestershire, serving a resident population of more than 5.3 million. The trust employs more than 4,000 staff posted over 100 sites, including 96 ambulance stations and six air ambulance bases.

We will be providing cleaning services to approximately 100 sites across seven lots divided by county: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, the former Avon area (Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Bath and North East Somerset), Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

Our partnership with SWASFT originally began in January 2011 with the award of the cleaning contract for 31 sites and we are delighted to have retained and expanded on our existing portfolio of sites. Churchill will support the Trust’s mission to respond to patients’ emergency and urgent care needs quickly and safely to save lives, reduce anxiety, pain and suffering by introducing consistency across the entire estate.

We also deliver services to a number of other ambulance trusts, including West Midlands, South East Coast, South Central and East of England.
