Churchill is delighted to announce we have extended our partnership with leading supermarket chain Aldi for the delivery of cleaning, security and associated services to over 100 stores across their Darlington, Goldthorpe and Middleton regions.
We originally won the contract to clean 4 stores in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire in February 2014 and following a very successful trial period in April were awarded a further 24 stores. This increased to 34 sites in early 2015 as new stores were built and existing stores moved from in-house cleaning to outsourcing to Churchill.
Following the latest contract award and a successful mobilisation we are now providing cleaning services to over 90 stores and security services to over a third of these, with scope for additional sites to join the contract in the future. We also provide additional services to 103 stores, which include window cleaning, jet washing, deep cleaning, litter picking and janitorial services. We are especially delighted to be adding 9 sites in the Aldi Middleton region to our portfolio, which further expands our reach into the North West and affords Churchill the opportunity to demonstrate our capability in this area.
Lee James, Business Development Manager in our Sales Team, has developed our relationship with Aldi over the last eighteen months and he has been instrumental in the growth of the portfolio. Following this contract extension, Aldi has become one of our most significant clients in the Northern region and ranks among our largest customers nationally. Highlighting the significance of this partnership we have assigned a Key Account Manager who is fully dedicated to managing the Aldi portfolio and oversees a team of four dedicated Account Managers and two further Managers in supporting roles.
