Churchill has secured the cleaning contract for University of Leeds student residences for up to another 4 years.
We will be providing Conference Cleaning and Housekeeping Services to a large portion of the University residencies.
The award of this contract will take our partnership beyond 10 years, making the University one of our longest-standing clients. This impressive partnership has allowed Churchill to establish a strong working relationship with the University of Leeds staff and we have gained an unrivalled understanding of their requirements.
Throughout the contract term we have remained flexible and have continually strived to make improvements to ensure we align with the University of Leeds strategy to be the best place for students to continue their education.
We have shared a number of successes during our partnership, which began in 2006, including adapting our delivery during the 2014 Tour de France Grand Départ in Leeds to accommodate guests visiting to enjoy the world’s oldest cycling Grand Tour event.
Sustainability is an ongoing important consideration for the University and we are pleased to have collaborated on a number of sustainability-focused projects. During our contract term, the University achieved the Green Tourism Award across their campus portfolio and in 2013 we helped the University attain a Silver rating in relation to their carbon footprint at the Henry Price Building.
In October 2016, we helped the University achieve a 4-star rating following an audit by VisitEngland of the Storm Jameson residence in Charles Morris Hall. Storm Jameson Court was awarded a high 4-star rating of 87%, which represents a 3% increase on the previous score. We were particularly delighted with the score of 5 for the cleanliness aspect of the residences, which is a direct reflection of our teams’ hard work.
Lee James, Senior Business Development Manager, who led our bid, says: “Our partnership with the University of Leeds is regarded as one of Churchill’s key relationships. We are proud of our joint successes over last decade and have worked hard to meet and exceed requirements. We will embrace the new contract and will continue to provide a flexible and reliable service; while introducing the latest technological innovations to this new contract term.”
