Developing Talent in Herts and Essex

November 16, 2016

Churchill believes excellent service is underpinned by excellent people who have been trained, developed and equipped with the right values, attitudes and behaviours, tools and skills.  Our philosophy is built upon ensuring inclusive, fair and equal access to training and development, where the individual comes first.

Having recruited employees of the correct calibre, we seek to retain our high performing staff by providing a stimulating and supportive working environment; providing competitive terms of conditions of employment; and by supporting personal and career aspirations of all employees.

Providing opportunities for current Churchill employees to progress their career is an important part of our talent management process and our impressive track record endorses this approach. Chris Harding, Regional Director for Hertfordshire and East Anglia, would like to share news of his most recent ‘talent spot’ – Stephen Moore, Account Manager.

“Stephen was originally employed as a supervisor for the Boswells School in Chelmsford following the contract award in summer 2015. Since this time, we have supported Stephen in his journey to becoming a great Account Manager who is focused and determined to make a success of his career at Churchill.

“Recently, Stephen was recognised as having gone way beyond the norm by anyone’s standards to ensure that the Sail Makers Shopping Centre in Ipswich was presented to the highest of standards before being opened the following day for a potential award. This level of commitment is rarely paralleled and clearly shows a manager with the intention of future promotion and personal development which Churchill is proud to encourage and support. Stephen received the ‘Above and Beyond’ award and gift of appreciation for his extraordinary efforts.

“My greatest thanks and support go out to Stephen and I wish him a long and exciting future with the region and Churchill.”
