No season prompts reflection quite like Christmas. As the year draws to a close and we all go our separate ways for the holidays – now is the time to look back on what has taken place over the past year.
In terms of contracts, we’ve proven the longevity of the relationships we have with our existing client-base with multiple contract renewals; Govia Thameslink Railway, Queen Margaret University, and Bernicia Homes to name but a few. We’ve also added to our existing client roster, successfully securing contracts with the likes of London South Bank University, University of Portsmouth, Dover Harbour Board, and Capital City College Group.
We’ve expanded the Churchill family with the acquisition of AOS Security back in October. Working closely with Darren Read and the rest of the team, I’m looking forward to further extending our reach in the sector by learning from their expertise, impressive experience and professionalism. On the catering side of the business, Catering by Churchill rebranded as Radish, signifying the new and exciting direction of the catering division led by Rebecca. I predict 2018 will be quite a year for both divisions, as these changes continue to come to fruition over the coming months.
From the operations side of the business, Churchill London moved to new premises, and we launched the ‘My Churchill’ portal, streamlining the experience for our employees and modernising the company’s day-to-day processes.
And of course, Churchill’s debut into the Grant Thornton Top Track 250 was the cherry on top of the 2017 cake. Confirming of a job thoroughly well done by all of team Churchill – however, particular praise goes to our outstanding sales team who exceeded their targets by a staggering 80 per cent this year.
There are already some announcements in the pipeline for next year. Until then… a big thank you, a merry Christmas, and a happy new year to you all. Let’s continue all the good work in 2018!
