Bournemouth Borough Council had been on the radar for a number of years; given Churchill’s presence servicing all neighbouring Councils such as Dorset County Council, Borough of Poole, Christchurch & East Dorset Council and Wiltshire Council.
We are now six months in to the contract and our Account Manager, Jayne Small (who transferred over to us), has proven to be such a huge asset to all of us at Churchill. Day-to-day, she continues to keep up the hard work to deliver the service demands of our client, all whilst demonstrating Churchill’s core values and supporting all of her staff.
Below is a short statement from Jayne Small (Account Manager) following her transfer to Churchill.
“My journey started with Churchill at the induction evening held at the Bournemouth Town Hall back in September 2017, prior to the official TUPE transfer.
This was my first experience of TUPE, and I knew that I would be involved with both elements of transferring out of one company and into another, so my main concern was to allay any fears that the staff may have had and to be mindful of the uncertainty of the situation. In order to alleviate their anxiety, communication was crucial.
Two induction evenings were arranged for mid-September and all of the relevant initial training and form filling was completed by Churchill’s Dorset Management team, with myself assisting along the way with queries. We were already working as a team even before the contract start date on 1 October!
It took a lot of planning to get to that point, but it paid off as the feedback from our Client and Churchill’s internal departments has been extremely positive, something which is down to working as a team.
From my point of view, I felt that the process was streamlined.
I have been made to feel very welcome and already feel part of a forward-thinking, upbeat and enthusiastic Dorset and Wiltshire Churchill team.”
