Payroll Administrator – based in Luton, Capability Green

We Put People First so you can Deliver Outstanding Service

We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Luton to administer payroll data and ensure accurate and timely submissions to the payroll system.

As a Payroll Administrator you’ll be:

  • Inputting starter information on to payroll system with a high level of accuracy, as well as processing leavers
  • Issuing tax forms e.g. P45’s, P60’s
  • Processing numerous payrolls weekly for over 9000 employees, processing the wages journal, dealing with payroll queries
  • Reconciling wages accounts
  • Carry out payroll calculations such as Maternity, Paternity, Sickness and Pension
  • Be responsible for all statutory requirements including RTI
  • Sending information and liaising with HMRC
  • Preparing and uploading Auto Enrolment reports (Excel) to Work Place Pension Provider

As a Payroll Administrator you’ll have:

  • 2 years experience working within a Payroll team
  • Excellent communication and people management skills across many different levels
  • Excellent Organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility, punctuality, and able to meet multiple deadlines on a daily basis
  • The ability to work as part of a small team with a flexible approach to work
  • Ability to work to tight timescales
  • The ability to build appropriate professional, friendly and accessible relationships with employees and line managers
  • Resilience and able to work in an organisation that is undergoing change due to development and growth.
