Night Industrial Kitchen Cleaner

Salary £14.15 per hour 

 

The main purpose of this role:

To effectively undertake cleaning duties in an industrial kitchen environment on site and in line with the site specification and schedules provided.

Shift Patterns 

Mon-Fri 22:00 – 06:00   20 hrs per week

As we are recruiting for cleaners in one of our secure sites, we will need to carry out pre-employment checks. We need to ask you for a full three-year history of your employment, education or other activities during this time. We will need to contact the references you provide.

All applicants must have lived in the UK for at least the past three years. 

 

Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen, including production areas, machinery, and equipment to a high standard.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP, GMP, and company-specific protocols.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules as required.
  • Maintain accurate cleaning records and documentation.
  • Report any hygiene or safety issues to the supervisor immediately.
  • Training will be on-going, and you will be provided all necessary training to enable completion of your tasks.
  • To ensure that correct PPE is always worn and ensure that PPE is clean and appropriate.
  • To represent the company and always conduct oneself in a professional and appropriate manner.

 

  • To undertake general cleaning duties to the prescribed standards as detailed in the site specification including:
  • Cleaning interior surfaces, furnishings, fixtures and fittings.
  • Floor areas are to be swept with special attention to areas under counters, corners and edges, all debris to be taken to the designated disposal point.
  • To clear and remove rubbish and other items from areas as detailed by the site specification and ensure the security of all areas at completion of duties.

 

Person Specification

  • Previous experience as a Cleaning Operative.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Takes responsibility for own work and demonstrates initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour tasks.
  • Able to follow instructions on the use of cleaning materials and machinery.

  • To take reasonable care of your own health and safety.
  • To take reasonable care not to put other people-fellow employees and members of the public: at risk when undertaking your work.
  • To ensure that you understand and comply with all Churchill’s training, safe working practices and Health and Safety policies.
