Maintenance Operative / Handyperson

Location:                    Bristol

Contract Type:          Permanent, full time

Weekly Hours:            40 hours p/w, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm

Salary:                        £15.00 p/h

 

Cleaning is Churchill’s largest long-established business area and as a Maintenance Operative/Handyperson you will have the all-important duty of undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and building fabric within a retail property environment.

As Maintenance Operative / Handyperson you will be involved in fault finding, testing, repairing and preventative maintenance of building fabric, logging all works on the site computerised maintenance system. Ensuring standards and Health and Safety procedures are maintained to maximise the operation effectiveness.

As Maintenance Operative / Handyperson you’ll have:

  • Experience within one of the building maintenances trades – joinery, plumbing, or painting.
  • The ability to adapt their technical skill sets to meet the demands of a busy retail centre.
  • Sound level of administration and organisational skills.
  • Previous experience of working within a maintenance team.
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Previous experience in the use of safe system of work permits.
  • Knowledge and use of computer software – Microsoft Office, Building Management System
