Churchill is delighted to have been awarded the contract to provide cleaning services to premises across the West Midlands Ambulance Service geographical area. Our service delivery will begin on 1st December and run for three years.
West Midlands Ambulance Service is the second-largest ambulance service in the UK and is responsible for providing NHS ambulance services in Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
We will be providing services to approximately 90 sites across a widespread geographical area, which demands flexibility and a dedicated management team. We have extensive experience of providing similar services to multi-site contracts of this nature, and have gained expertise in the sector through our specialist MakeReady division. This contract, which adds to our ambulance trust building cleaning portfolio, will see us combine our knowledge of infection control and operating within a clinical environment with our understanding of managing a large and complex multi-site cleaning contract.
Our team will work in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness for the NHS – the national plan to ensure a clean and safe environment and improved services to patients.
Other ambulance trusts to which we deliver a range of services include: South Central Ambulance Service, South East Coast Ambulance Service, East of England Ambulance Service and London Ambulance Service. We also work in partnership with Arriva Transport Solutions – a private sector ambulance service provider.
Mark Whyte, Operations Director for the contract, comments: “We are delighted to have been selected by West Midlands Ambulance Service as their cleaning partner. This contract extends our ambulance portfolio in the region and cements our position as a leading provider to the emergency services sector. We are proud to be making a difference and helping to improve patient care in the region.”
