We are pleased to announce our first placement with the LIVE @ the Hive programme in conjunction with One Stop Shopping Centre has been a success.
The programme is run by Wilson Stuart School and University College Birmingham and is designed to support students aged 19-25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities into employment and promote independence and confidence.
Brendan Nolan began his placement as a cleaning operative at the Shopping Centre on 30th November and we are delighted at the brilliant start he has made. We have provided Brendan pictorial job cards in order to meet his needs and ensure he is able to complete his tasks effectively.
Adam Miley, Brendan’s Account Manager, says: “It could not have gone any better. Brendan worked really hard and followed all instructions.”
Mark Whyte, Operations Director, adds: “I am very pleased that Brendan’s first day went so well. We are proud to work with organisations such as The Hive, offering opportunities to people of all backgrounds and abilities and look forward to supporting additional placements in the future.”
