Powering up: Churchill secures cleaning contract with Northern Powergrid

February 27, 2018

Churchill Contract Services has been awarded a three-year cleaning contract by Northern Powergrid. The contract went live as of 1st February 2018 and covers 26 sites across the North-East and Yorkshire regions.

Northern Powergrid was looking for a provider that would streamline its operations after the incumbent were unable to offer a full complement of staff to service its sites. Churchill’s prominence in the local areas, with mobile support teams and a 24-hour helpdesk service, guaranteed that a full workforce would always be available on-site without fail. This was a key element in securing the bid.

Churchill has a pre-existing security contract with Northern Powergrid and the high-level of service delivered by the security division bolstered the bid made by the cleaning team last year. The agreed services within the cleaning contract have been mobilised seamlessly by the Churchill team to ensure business as usual for Northern Powergrid, and include general cleaning, washroom, and window cleaning.

Karl Mulligan, Facilities Co-Ordinator, Northern Powergrid, said: “Churchill set the standard when they took over our security services, and we are confident that the cleaning teams will match this. We’re looking forward to collaborating with the team at Churchill over the coming years.”

Mark Whyte, Operations Director, Churchill – Midlands and North, said: “It’s a great achievement to extend our relationship with Northern Powergrid to include cleaning services. Churchill is proud to develop strong working relationships with our clients and is committed to extending our service offering to align successfully with the client’s core business.”
