Retaining and developing talent at Churchill

June 16, 2017

Churchill believes excellent service is underpinned by excellent people who have been trained, developed and equipped with the right values, attitudes and behaviours, tools and skills.

Our philosophy is built upon ensuring inclusive, fair and equal access to training and development, where the individual comes first.

In order to retain our high-performing staff we are conscious of providing a stimulating and supportive working environment, which offers competitive terms and conditions of employment and support for personal and career aspirations.

Providing opportunities for current Churchill employees to progress their career is an important part of our talent management process and our impressive track record endorses this approach. Joe Saisi, Operations Director for London and the South East, would like to highlight a recent example of retaining and developing talent within his region.

Following an impressive career with Churchill to date, George Njeri has successfully progressed from Key Account Manager to Operations Manager for the Home Counties, following a recent short period of looking after the region. George has shown real dedication and his proactive management style has already had a really positive and tangible impact on our customers.

Joe Saisi says, “Every successful company is based on a simple thing – its people! They are the bedrock of the company and our inspirational employees are the benchmark of our industry. It is in the very core of our ethos that we develop and invest in our talent and succession planning. George is a true talent who demonstrates our values and proves to our customers how easy he is to work with. He makes the working lives of our customers easier and helps them look good!”

George adds, “Churchill values sit well with my values, which has allowed me to make a difference to others, be it a client or the members of our staff team. I am excited by this new challenge and with the support from our wonderful teams in Harpenden and in London, alongside guidance from Antony Law (Managing Director for London) and Joe I am confident we can redefine our service delivery to help Churchill continue to grow and set the highest standards.

I am thrilled to be part of a wonderful team and I will continue working hard to be an example to others. Great opportunities are open and available to all in Churchill if you are willing to put in the effort.”
