Catering by Churchill is delighted to announce our new five-year partnership with the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), delivering high quality catering, vending and corporate hospitality services to both campuses in Camden, London and Hawkshead, Potters Bar. We will also be providing fine dining for events, College open days and the all-important end of year student ball.
Churchill is particularly proud to have been successful with this bid, giving us our first catering site at a Higher Education institution and our first catering contract in London. We look forward to forging a partnership based on shared values that will continue to enhance the global reputation of the College. One of the world’s leading specialists in veterinary institutions, the RVC was founded in 1791 on the site of the Camden campus and is the oldest and largest veterinary school in the UK. The Hawkshead campus was acquired in 1957 as a field station.
In line with the College’s Mission to ‘improve the quality of the student’s experience educationally and socially,’ Churchill aims to increase student engagement to their dining experience by bringing in well-known high street brands such as Costa, extended opening hours, themed events and a chef’s workshop to the College.
Churchill was able to show how we could meet the needs of the RVC by providing a high quality service that represents excellent value for money to the College. Demonstrating a clear understanding of one of the College’s main objectives, Churchill is dedicated to sourcing ingredients from carefully selected suppliers and is able to further develop the partnership with the RVC by making the commitment to source meat and poultry from the College-operated Boltons Park Farm.
Simon Tupper, Catering by Churchill – Managing Director says: “We are delighted to be awarded this prestigious contract, having completed a very competitive tender process. This will give us a springboard into both Higher Education and into other areas of the country. We are very keen to be working closely with an institution that shares our aspirations and ideals and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship”.
Steve Hawkins, Catering by Churchill – Business Development Manager, adds: “The whole team are absolutely delighted to have secured such a high profile contract at the world renowned RVC. We have a hard earned and enviable reputation and ethos for using fresh locally sourced produce, unrivalled sustainability practices and a real desire to achieve consistent customer satisfaction. This is our first success in the Higher Education sector following several years managing the services in nursery, primary, secondary and special needs schools.”
Churchill looks forward to beginning this partnership with the Royal Veterinary College, delivering our promised high quality service in meeting and exceeding their expectations. We hope this paves the way towards more opportunities for Catering by Churchill at other Higher Education institutions and London-based sites.
