Successful Cleaning Retender for Wiltshire Council

We have successfully retained the Wiltshire Council cleaning contract for a further five year term.

Churchill began the delivery of cleaning services to approximately 95 buildings in September 2012. We designed a solution to meet the overall objectives, initiatives and operational cultures associated with Wiltshire Council’s new portfolio which at the time was undergoing a radical remodelling exercise.

Over the past four years we have delivered services to a range of sites, including libraries, council Head Offices, adult learning centres, youth clubs and other general council spaces. We realigned our local management structure to ensure we could work sympathetically with the Council Estate teams responsible for individual regions. Key to our success has been supporting the Council through major changes in their property portfolio and following the retender win, we will be delivering to over 100 sites.

Following a successful four year partnership, we are delighted to have retained the cleaning contract for a further five year term. As part of the new contract implementation process we have been conducting roadshows at some Wiltshire Council hubs to encourage the cleaning teams to treat this as a fresh start and new contract. The roadshows have proved very successful and consisted of refresher training, new uniform handouts and promoting training opportunities. We have also carried out Question & Answer sessions for staff focusing on how we can help them carry out their work to the best possible standard going forwards. These sessions were attended by Wiltshire Council representatives to demonstrate their support and encourage teams that this should be treated as a new contract.
