Well done to all at Churchill who took part in fundraising efforts for BBC’s Children In Need.
Since 1980 Children in Need has raised over £600 million to help change the lives of disabled children and young people in the UK and this year’s campaign culminated in a live telethon broadcast on 18th November.
Volunteers from our head office spent time manning the phones at the Bourne Leisure call centre taking pledge calls from members of the public during the telethon. We have a long-standing partnership with Bourne Leisure and were delighted with the opportunity to support their efforts again this year.
The Churchill Team at Sailmakers Shopping Centre in Ipswich (pictured here) also joined in by dressing up and collecting money at the centre in their own time and raised nearly £250. Special thanks go to Lee Markwell, janitor, who supplied the costumes.
The total raised so far this year is a record-breaking £46.million – a figure which is still growing.
