Top 5% ‘Star Performers’ on SIA Approved Contractor Scheme Audit

May 6, 2016

We are delighted to announce that our recent annual SIA Approved Contractor Scheme Audit (April 2016) has positioned Churchill Security Solutions (CSS) in the top 5% of the UK security industry.

This rating places CSS as ‘star performers’ and sends a clear and determined message to our competition and the wider security industry. It also reinforces our ‘Forward Thinking™’ company strategy to firstly excel, then innovate, then advance.

In 2015, we made great strides to cement our SIA Approved Contractor Scheme Audit rating – scoring 107 points (with the median industry score being 67). Building on this solid groundwork, in the last 12 months, we have made further significant investment in security specific leadership, recruitment, processes and technology.

As a result, we approached our 2016 audit in a very strong position and achieved a remarkable score of 152 (over 225% higher than the industry median score). To place this in context, CSS are only the 25th security company to achieve a score of over 150 since the SIA (Security Industry Authority) was established in 2003.

These annual external audits assess nine key areas of our organisation, including leadership, people, strategy and financial management. In accomplishing a top 5% rating, the Audit Assessment Team highlighted numerous areas of industry-leading best practice, including: quality monitoring, resourcing and time & attendance technology (MapTag, Smartsheets and TimeGate); effectiveness in dealing with customer complaints; leadership team(s) involvement in incident resolution; and our use of social media to keep abreast of industry changes.

Our success has been heralded by Karl Hydes, Operations Director – CSS: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in the audit process. It would not have been possible to achieve this score without support from the wider business and the auditor mentioned on a number of occasions how impressed he was with the level of pride and dedication he encountered at all levels.

For CSS, the hard work continues as we strive for further improvement and growth during 2016. We have set the bar extremely high for 2017; and I have no doubt whatsoever that we will be among the top 1% of security providers in the UK by this time.”
