Churchill Environmental secures hattrick of contract wins

Churchill Environmental Services (CES), our specialist water and environmental arm, has won three significant contracts in the last six months. The contracts are with the South West Ambulance Service Trust (SWAST), Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) and Plymouth City Council (PCC) with a combined value of a quarter of a million pounds per annum.

The SWAST and ABUHB contracts are new, multi-year contracts. SWAST is a three-year contract and will see CES serve as the specialist water hygiene contractor for its estate of more than 100 buildings, which consist of ambulance stations, training facilities, stores, and emergency contact centres. ABUHB is a two-year term where CES is the primary supplier on a framework agreement to deliver legionella risk assessments. The PCC contract lasts for four years, with an extension for up to seven years, and is a third renewal following a successful nine-year partnership so far.

Services being delivered include legionella risk assessments, water hygiene monitoring, plumbing, remedial works, and related environmental services tailored to each client’s unique needs.

CES’ use of innovative field and asset management/electronic log systems, highly skilled field teams, and demonstrated commitment to sustainability were contributing factors to all three wins.

Key factors for the PCC renewal included CES’ proven track record of high compliance levels, transparent delivery, and added value services, such as water safety plans and scald assessments.

The two healthcare wins were down to CES’ expertise in water hygiene compliance in healthcare settings, skilled consultancy and risk assessment team, and a bespoke portal designed for the NHS that helps to ensure compliance with BS 8680: Water Quality and Safety Plans.
