Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with IT security experience of managing and coordinating multiple security tools, awareness programs and working within an ISO27001 framework to join our IT team in Gateshead,

As an IT Security Manager, you will be providing management of all aspects of Information and Cyber Security for the organisation.   The role will include planning, organising and taking responsibility for the security and protection of the businesses IP assets, as well as collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business’ IT infrastructure and services are appropriately secured.

As IT Security Manager you will:

  • Have ownership of IT Security incident management process, manging the IT Security Tooling ensuring all assets are protected and up to date.
  • Manage, review and update of the Churchill ISO27001:2013 ISMS policies.
  • Provide ownership for all Group security awareness programs and initiatives, liaison with Churchill employees on information security matters.
  • Advising internal projects on information security matters.
  • Manage internal information security audit programme with the external consultant.
  • Liaising with Certification bodies regarding external ISMS audits, and managing all actions related to nonconformances, non-compliances and improvements raised from internal and external information security audits.
  • Undertaking spot checks of IT security performance and report data to Group IT Director.
  • Providing monthly information security performance reports to the Group IT Director as part of monthly progress meetings.
  • Creating and delivering targeted information security training sessions for internal teams.
  • Dealing with Cyber-security specific activities – e.g. NCSC alert monitoring
  • Supporting bids/commercial teams with tender process

As IT Security Manager you’ll have:

  • An Understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud services, and proactive approach to IT security
  • Be a team player with a logical and structured approach, good communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and escalate issues as required
  • Flexible approach to work, ability to work under pressure and excellent organisational skills
  • CISSP and/or CISM, MSC Cyber Security and previous experience of managing IT Security within an organisation are desirable.
