Own Your Future
Own Your Future is our 12-week development programme designed to support colleagues to grow, build confidence and make a positive impact in their roles.
It is built on a simple belief. When our people grow, our business grows. By investing in our colleagues, we create better experiences for our teams, our clients and the communities we support.
Originally designed for front line managers, the programme has evolved to support colleagues across both operational and shared service roles. It reflects the different ways leadership shows up across our business, whether that is leading teams directly or influencing outcomes more broadly. Own Your Future is not about theory alone. It is about practical, people-focused development that can be applied day to day.
To reflect different leadership roles, we created two tailored development pathways.
Front line managers
Front line managers are central to the experience of our colleagues and clients. The front line manager programme focuses on building strong leadership foundations and supporting colleagues to lead with confidence and consistency.
Across seven face-to-face modules, colleagues explore key areas including self-awareness, communication, relationship building, leadership, commercial mindset and problem solving.
The programme has a strong focus on understanding personal impact, managing challenges effectively and building trusting relationships within teams. Through one-to-one coaching and shared learning, colleagues are supported to apply these skills in real situations, helping to embed lasting change.
Leaders of leaders
The leaders of leaders programme is designed for those leading managers and shaping the wider direction of teams, regions or functions.
It focuses on developing leadership at a broader level, supporting colleagues to lead through others and create environments where people can perform at their best.
The programme explores emotional intelligence, communication, coaching, value creation and influencing. It also supports leaders to strengthen their decision making, navigate complexity and build a culture where people feel trusted, supported and able to succeed.
By stepping back and reflecting on their approach, leaders can develop a clearer sense of how they show up, the impact they have and how they can continue to grow.
Own Your Future supports both individual growth and our wider culture. It is designed to:
- Create an environment where people feel trusted, supported and able to be themselves
- Strengthen leadership capability at all levels of the business
- Build positive, collaborative relationships across teams and functions
- Encourage ownership, accountability and continuous development
- Support colleagues to make a meaningful and lasting impact
At its core, the programme helps to build a culture where people feel empowered to grow and confident in the role they play in our success.
What colleagues say
Feedback from colleagues consistently highlights the impact the programme has on both confidence and capability.
Colleagues often talk about gaining a better understanding of themselves and how they lead. They describe feeling more confident in their decision making, more aware of their impact on others and better equipped to handle challenges.
The opportunity to learn alongside others, share experiences and have open, honest conversations is also seen as a key part of the experience.
For many, Own Your Future is not just a development programme. It is an opportunity to step back, reflect and move forward with greater clarity, confidence and purpose.
“I always thought I was a good manager, but I wanted to be sure I was doing the right things. The course ended up giving me so much more than I expected.”
Helene Hawtrey, Account Director.

“I could not stress enough how much I recommend this programme to others. It changed my perspective, gave me the tools to grow, and helped me secure the role I truly wanted.”
Abdikarin Mohamud, Duty Manager.
“It’s made a world of difference in how I approach conversations. I can now tailor my communication depending on the personality type I’m interacting with, whether it’s a more reserved person or someone more dominant.”
Matthew Keane, Operations Manager.
