Churchill shortlisted for Premises and Facilities Management Partnership Awards 2021

We are delighted to announce that Churchill Group with Network Rail High Speed has been shortlisted for ‘Partners in Sustainability – Large Estates’ at the esteemed Premises and Facilities Management (PFM) Partnership Awards 2021.

The PFM Awards focuses on rewarding the very best examples of successful partnerships within FM through its dedicated independent judging panel. PFM’s continued popularity within all sectors of the industry demonstrates their exceptional award programme and the honour of being recognised by their judging panel of industry experts.

The ‘Partners in Sustainability – Large Estates’ award celebrates the positive impact of facilities on the environment, including the reduction of waste in all areas and the processing of all unwanted material in the most effective manner. We’ve been working with Network Rail High Speed to provide cleaning services to St Pancras International station since 2017, providing a comprehensive service that’s been both innovative and sustainable.

St Pancras, managed by Network Rail High Speed, saw a footfall of over one million passengers each day prior to the pandemic. Each person using the station expected excellent service, whilst all contributing to a mass quantity of waste. We suggested and implemented a number of technological services which allowed us to provide data-led proactive services that monitored the excessive waste. This allowed the team to analyse footfalls, adapt provisions, and create a more efficient and proactive service. During the pandemic, we introduced a data-led cleaning and monitoring service, PRISM. This process involves regular swab testing to analyse microorganism load on surfaces, keeping our clients feeling safe and their site clean.

We have always focused on creating a more sustainable and eco-friendlier environment, with our chemical-free cleaning products and PVC-free packaging present from the beginning of the contract. However, technology has played a core part in the way we work. By implementing data-led cleaning we have assisted St Pancras in managing their waste, improving their recycling, and providing the option for further innovations going forward.

Gregory Dingle, director at Churchill, commented: “The St Pancras project has been an outstanding achievement and our partnership with Network Rail High Speed has continued to flourish. Network Rail High Speed puts customer experience above all else, a quality we look for in partnerships. We have tailored our service to complement their own, providing exceptional environments and innovations in sustainability to meet St Pancras’ heightened demands. Being shortlisted for this award is an incredible feeling, and the recognition we’ve received both satisfying and heart-warming. We look forward to the ceremony and hope to become the winners of this great award.”

This year’s PFM Awards takes place on Wednesday the 3rd of November 2021, at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.
